Chianti Colli Senesi, the red wine is the most authentic expression of Sangiovese in the Siena area. Produced right here, among the hills of San Gimignano, it stands out from other Chianti wines for its more structured body and pronounced minerality, the result of soils rich in clay and marine limestone from millions of years ago.
Typical products to pair with these wines include Tuscan cured meats, local pecorino cheese, extra virgin olive oil, and traditional dishes such as ribollita, pappardelle with wild boar, and pappa al pomodoro.
